-
- Rob Hubbard, from the UK, was well known on the Commodore C-64 SID/Amiga
- MOD music scene until he successfully managed to secure a full-time job as
- the in-house composer for Electronic Arts, based in LA in America.. Rob
- Hubbard has been responsible for composing countless musical scores for
- computer and video games This directory contains a large collection of
- Standard MIDI File (SMF) conversions of Rob's music so you can while away
- the evenings reminiscing about those old games that you used to play, and
- hopefully the music will evoke some fond memories as well.. Classic stuff
- this from Rob Hubbard..
-
- The files contained in this directory were converted from SMUS scores
- originally produced in SONIX/DMCS on the Amiga platform by Allister
- Brimble, himself a FREELANCE musician/composer for computer game music (SEE
- "ABRIMBLE" directories on this CD-ROM); these were converted to Music-X
- Performance file format. From there, Control Tracks were constructed for
- each score enabling the use of "bulding block" methods rearranging the data
- for MIDI purposes. Where possible, the original data remains but because
- of the SMUS data format's restrictive nature, particularly with reference
- to drums and percussion possibilities, then these aspects have been
- embelished and enhanced using the Korg i3 Interactive Workstation and then
- converted back to Standard MIDI Files (SMF) formats.. The Standard MIDI
- File (SMF) versions come as both 0 and 1 file formats.. All files come as
- Korg i2/i3 (0-Series/X-Series compatible)..
